Supercomputing Challenge Advanced Placement Computer Science CourseLearn the Java programming language. Solve interesting problems. Meet online with other students from NM. Earn three credits for college. WHO? High school students are the target audience. WHAT? Online Advanced Placement Computer Science, Part A, developed by experienced high school computer science teachers from New Mexico and supported by the Supercomputing Challenge. An outline is available. WHEN? Enrollment opens in August, 2008 WHERE? On your computer at school or at home WHY? Get a jump start on college and your career! INTERESTED? Email apcs at challenge dot nm dot org. READY? Register at your school with your IDEAL-NM Site Coordinator for online classes. Ask your counselor or principal to identify your Site Coordinator. After you register, you'll receive information on accessing the online site and you'll be contacted by the AP Computer Science Instructor. The Challenge is your avenue for advanced placement classes in computer science, math and science.
