2002 AiS Challenge Awards Expo — Schedule

Here is the (tentative) schedule of events for April 2002:

Wednesday, April 3
  Final written reports due
  Scholarship applications due
  Register to come to the Awards Expo 

Friday, April 12, 2002
  Submissions for the Best HTML version of a final report due

Wednesday, April 17
  Judges conference call - about half a dozen finalists will be announced.

Sunday, April 21, 2002
  Most teams travel to Los Alamos, check in at Best Western, Hilltop House Hotel
  Relax on your own in the evening

Monday, April 22
  7:00  Breakfast at the hotel
        The previously announced finalists will give 30 minute
          presentations to a panel of judges between 8:30 and 11:30
        Everyone else will set up their posters and give their
          presentations to three judges at pre-assigned half-an-hour
          time slots between 8:00 and 10:30
        These presentations will be in room 202A in the Research Park
          adjacent to the Los Alamos National Laboratory
        After their presentations, teams will be able to take tours of
          Los Alamos National Laboratory
  11:00 Poster session judges caucus
  11:00 Students and teachers vote for best technical poster and
        graphical logo
  12:00 Poster session judges announce about half a dozen additional finalists
  12:00 Lunch
  1:00-4:00 Poster session finalists make 30 minute presentations
              to a panel of judges
  1:00-4:00 Scholarship interviews with three judges
  1:00-5:00 Tours (morning finalists will give their presentations
              as part of the tours)
  5-6  Dinner (on your own)
  5-9  Dinner/discussion for judges
  6-8  Pool Party at the Larry R Walkup Aquatic Center

Tuesday, April 23
 7:00  Breakfast at the hotel
 8:30  Travel to Los Alamos National Laboratory 
 9-11  Awards Ceremony at the Main Auditorium
11:00  Lunch Reception and media interviews in room 202A in the Reseach Park
12:30  Depart Los Alamos
