chidhkratzer: cp /usr/local/scc/abstract_sti04.html .
nickbenn: Remember: there are two reserved symbols for directories...
nickbenn: a single period is the current directory...
nickbenn: two periods in a row (without space) means the parent directory.
chidhkratzer: Try to telnet mode.lanl.k12.nm.us and log in.
chidhkratzer: or  telnet://mode.lanl.k12.nm.us
chidhkratzer: from a web browser
chidhkratzer: Once on mode, do  cd public_html
cp /usr/local/scc/abstract_sti04.html .
chidhkratzer: Once you have the abstract_sti04.html in your public_html directory, point a web browser at it by using http://mode.lanl.k12.nm.us/~chtabcde/abstract_sti04.html  where chtabcde is your mode login.
chidhkratzer: In your telnet mode window, you can edit the abstract with pico by entering  pico abstract_sti04.html
chidhkratzer: After you make changes, write it out (^O) then go to the web browser and click on refresh.
chidhkratzer: We would like each team to have an abstract up for tomorrow afternoon and those will be copied to the sti web page, so when you get yours done, drop me an email (dhk@lanl.gov).

chidhkratzer: The  ls  command should show you what files you have.

chidhkratzer: that is the period at the end, or you can do   cp /usr/local/scc/abstract_sti04.html abstract_sti04.html
chidhkratzer: Good, Betty and Mavis, I see you have the file, now take a look at it with a web browser.
chidhkratzer: Use http://mode.lanl.k12.nm.us/~chtabcde/abstract_sti04.html  where chtabcde is your mode login name.
