
Time to Register for the 37th Supercomputing Challenge!
The Supercomputing Challenge is a year-long marathon of creativity, problem-solving, and innovation for middle and high school students across New Mexico.
Students research, design, and present a computational science project using real high-performance computing resources. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced programmer, you can work with teammates, learn from mentors, and build practical STEM skills.

Key dates
- Registration: August 1–September 20
- Teams finalized: September 30
- Kickoff: October 10–11 at New Mexico Tech in Socorro
- Scholarship applications due: March 1
- Expo and Awards Ceremony: April 23–24, 2027
Start brainstorming, talk with potential teammates, and begin researching your topic now. The earlier you register, the more time you will have to develop your project and connect with mentors.
