Breast Cancer Facts
Breast Cancer is caused by a mutation of two genes, BRCA-1 and BRCA-2.
One out of every 400 people carry this mutated gene. Men have a lesser chance of gettting breast cancer, having a .26 percent chance of developing it.
For every 400 men with breast cancer there are 40,000 women with breast cancer.
There are about 212,600 new cases of breast cancer each year and about 40,200
expected deaths. The following table shows
the precent increase in the risk of women getting breast cancer with age.

Hardy-Weinberg Equation
If a
Population stays the same with out change it
is said to be in equilibrium. When we established our
begining population, we took into account the factors involved in the Hardy-Weinberg rules:
*Large populations *No gene migration
*Mutation *Rrandom mating
     The
basic genetic equation p2+2pq+q2=1 states
that in the absence of other factors, genetic makeup of population does not change.
